more about profiles…..
Aim. The aim of the consultant profiling system is to allow potential employers to quickly, easily and accurately find suitable consultants for employment, and to ensure that the information about the consultants (in particular their availability) is absolutely current.
A Targeted System. The XC3 database and profiling system is specifically targeted at ex military personnel seeking employment principally in the security industry. The result is a VERY good and specialised search system - a huge improvement on the offline and/or generic employment database systems in use elsewhere. The system has been designed and built by ex military personnel with security industry experience, and with the help of employers.
Profile System. The profile system allows a three stage selection process by employers. The first stage is the guided questionnaire, a form which allows consultants to select a value for a series of skill, experience and other categories. The second stage consists of three "Micro CVs" - one for experience, one for skills and education, and one for availability and type of employment sought. These are text entry areas and provide additional information not covered by the questionnaire and easily readable summaries for employers to read on the search results. The final stage of the profile system is the consultant's normal CV, but with contact details removed.
How a Potential Employer Uses the System. The employer starts with a quick search based on the guided questionnaire. For example an employer may choose to see ex Air Force consultants with a former rank of between LAC and Sgt. He would then see the second stage of the consultant profiles - the text "Micro CVs". From these results the employer can look at consultants' complete profiles and then their full CVs.
Accuracy of information. The accuracy of the profiles in the XC3 database is absolutely fundamental to the system. XC3 will make every effort to ensure that this is maintained, including the manual checking of all profiles before acceptance, speaking to the consultant where necessary, and asking for references. Additionally after all interviews companies will be asked for feedback about the accuracy of consultants' profiles and we reserve the right to remove profiles from the system as a result. For more information about this subject see the detailed subscription help pages.
Terminology. The consultant form is set out to be understandable to all military and ex military personnel. The key skills and experience are largely transferable. Any translation into appropriate civilian terms is done in the working parts of the site.
More about email and privacy…….
The maintenance of privacy and personal security is a fundamental principle of the XC3 system, with respect to both consultants and employers. Very few personal details are requested from consultants are these are never seen by employers. No employer details are held online except an (optional) email address.
The consultant ID and E-Mail System. consultant profiles contain no names or other personal details, being referred to only a consultant ID number. Using these ID number employers can email consultants through the site email system. This email is likely to consist of a very brief outline of possible work and a contact name and number. The consultant then chooses whether to contact and release his details to an employer.
XC3 treat all personal details as strictly confidential. Minimal personal details are recorded to allow the site system to function and to allow XC3 staff to contact a consultant regarding site matters.
More about fees…..
Overview. XC3 offers consultants free use of the database. This is a recent change of policy. Any previously published information about charges and fees is now obsolete.
More about availability.....
Availability Information. This is probably the most important information in a consultant's profile. Up to four separate periods of availability can be recorded in the profile at any one time - each accurate to one day and qualified with information about the type of work that a consultant is able to undertake in each. In order to ensure that this information is kept up to date XC3 consultants must login to the site every 45 days, otherwise the profile will automatically go offline. XC3 will send reminder emails to consultants to perform this task.
