Product Description
The VW Golf GTI and Golf R MK7 are capable performance cars, but hard road and track use can quickly expose the limits of the standard front brake setup. Repeated heavy braking creates high temperatures, pad wear and reduced consistency, especially on cars running more power, stickier tyres or longer track sessions.
The XC3 BTCC Big Brake Kit solves this by combining genuine motorsport-derived 368mm x 36mm floating rotors with AP Racing CP9660 six-piston calipers, available in a choice of anodised or nickel-plated finishes. The larger rotor size improves heat capacity, while the floating bobbin assembly allows controlled rotor expansion under temperature. XC3-designed bells and caliper brackets ensure correct fitment, caliper alignment and pad sweep on the MK7 chassis.
The supplied rotors and pads are inspected ex-BTCC components, allowing customers to access high-level motorsport hardware at a more cost-effective price point than a fully new equivalent setup. Some cosmetic marks and signs of previous motorsport use should be expected.
