Overview
The XC3 Engineering Upgraded Driveshaft / Propshaft Bolts are designed to replace the factory BMW one-time-use fasteners fitted to the BMW M3 E9X drivetrain.
OEM BMW bolts are supplied in 10.9 tensile grade and are classified as single-use stretch bolts, meaning they are designed to be replaced every time they are removed. Under repeated high-load use, particularly on fast-road or track-driven vehicles, these fasteners can become a reliability concern.
XC3 upgraded bolts move to a 12.9 tensile specification, providing a clear strength increase over the factory hardware. The higher tensile rating offers improved resistance to bolt stretch and fatigue, resulting in greater clamping force retention at critical drivetrain joints.
